World Championship Latin in China: Germany on third and fourth place

In the Dujiangyan Feilong Sports Centre in Chengdu, China, 74 couples danced at the WDSF World Championship Latin, out of them also the German Champion and Vice Champion. Already around lunch time the President of the DTV Heidi Estler reported a well packed hall and a great atmosphere.

Wolfgang and Gisela Friedrich win 5th qualification competition of the „Leistungsstarke 66“ series

At the 5th qualification competition of the „Leistungsstarke 66“ series, 17 couples danced. According to the competition rules of this series, all couples danced two preliminary rounds. Following a semi-final with 14 couples, 6 couples were recalled into the final. By winning three dances (Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot), Wolfgang and Gisela Friedrich won the tight competition. Sascha Wakup / Dr. Ann-Katrin Bechtold in the final of the World Championship

At the World Championship Master Class I, which also took place in Luxemburg, the German Champions of the DTV PD Master Class I Sascha Wakup / Dr. Ann-Katrin Bechtold reached the final of the World Championship for the first time. They finished sixth. 13 couples representing 8 countries entered the competition.

Bicker runners-up at the World Championship

Luxembourg was the host country of the World Championship Master Class II of the WDSF Professional Division. In Bertrange 18 couples danced this Open Championship, 13 out of them representing Italy. Heinz-Josef and Aurelia danced in the final and finished second, bringing home the silver medal.

Faustmann / Kley win Ranking List competition Senior II

77 couples danced in the TSC Rot-Gold-Casino Nürnberg. Out of them five finalists and five semifinalists of the last German Championship; The Ranking List Competition was danced interchanging with the Rising Star competition of Adults Latin which was offered by the club for the first time.

German runners-up winning King´s Cup in Bangkok

The German runners-up couple in the Latin-American dances, Timur Imametdinov/Nina Bezzubova, have been winning the WDSF World Open Latin competition at the 7th King´s Cup in Bangkok (Thailand). The whole German delegation there were happy because of their good results.

Michael Wenger/Jekaterina Perederejeva retiring

Michael Wenger and Jekaterina Perederejeva have ended their career as active competition dancers. In their writing to the management committee they are thanking all the people that have been accompanying them along their way: “It has been a wonderful, exciting and successful time for us in the Professional Division. Of course we would like to take the chance to thank everybody that has been accompanying us on that beautiful path.”

Finalists at the Styrian Open

All German finalists at the World Ranking Competitions of the Styrian Open in Graz, Austria, were happy about their results and the great atmosphere there. They celebrated together as a team.
