At the 5th qualification competition of the „Leistungsstarke 66“ series, 17 couples danced. According to the competition rules of this series, all couples danced two preliminary rounds. Following a semi-final with 14 couples, 6 couples were recalled into the final. By winning three dances (Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot), Wolfgang and Gisela Friedrich won the tight competition.
