Both Aniello Langella/Vera Bondareva and the German representatives Timur Imametdinov/Nina Bezzubova started with their new dance partners from round one and were applauded by the audience. Langella held the cup in his hands in the end,  Imametdinov/Bezzubova reached place five after outstanding presentation of the best Latin couples. With only 0.12 points difference and place seven in the semi-final, Pavel Pasechnik/Marta Arndt were denied participation in the final.
