Stöckl / Belz Vice North European Champsions Youth Standard
According to the organizer, more than 2.200 couples danced at the Baltic Grand Prix 2015. It was the 34 th edition of this Dancesport event in the capital of Latvia. In the Kipsala International Exhibition Centre Riga also the North European championships were organized.
The first North European Champions were crowned Friday noon: Timur Imametdinov / Nina Bezzubov won all fice dances in the Championship Adult Latin. With Andrzej Cibis / Victoria Kleinfelder finishing fourth and Fabian Taeschner / Darja Titowa finishing fifth, three couples from Tanzsport Deutschland were in the final.
With many couples from TEAM 13 Young Talents there was a big German fan block to support Dominik Stöckl / Katarina Belz, who was the only German couple in the final of Youth Standard. They were runners-up in four dances and won Tango and are Vice North European Champions. Maurizio Bauer / Katrin Lorber were recalled into the final of Junior I Latin and finished fifth. Two German finalists in Junior II Latin danced in front of the big supporting German fan block: Elfrem Kuzmichenko / Samira Hafez finished fourth, Erik Herr / Elisabeth Byckov fifth.
At the Senior I Latin competition Dennis Pieske / Tanja Hermsdorf-Pieske finished third, Marc Becker / Nicole Giersbeck fourth. At the Senior I Standard competition, two couples representing the DTV finished in the medal ranks: Jörg Gutmann / Isabel Matthes received the silver medal, Roland Tines / Heidrun Puskas finished third.
During the competitions in the evening, Dumitru Doga / Sarah Ertmer was the only German couple in the final and they finished third.
The final of Senior III Standard was completely German speaking: Behind the winning couple from Austria, five couples from Tanzsport Deutschland followed: Gerhard Baier / Ingrid Cloos-Baier (2nd), Lutz and Berit Fröhlich (3rd), Christian Böhm / Elisabeth Striegan-Böhm (4th), Manfred and Andrea Otto (5th) and Dietmar und Susanne Jungmann (6th).
At Senior Latin, the second and the fourth place went to the DTV: Benjamin Eiermann / Tina Zettelmeier were runners-up, Marc Becker / Nicole Giersbeck finished fourth.
