IDSF World Senior II Open Standard Championship

Three German couples reached the finals at the IDSF World Senior II Open Standard Championship that were part of the Belgium Open at the Palais des Congrès in Liège (Belgium).

Bernd and Monika Kiefer had to submit to the runners-up of the previous year Fabio Pilon/Maddalena Merelli (Italy). The bronze medal went to Bernd Farwick/Petra Voosholz. Claus and Britta Halfmeier defended their position in the finals and eventually occupied the fifth rank.

The quarter-finals: 16. Josef Paukner/Margret Koller-Paukner, 19.-21. Wilfried Tiwald/Barbara Tiwald, 24. Dieter Keppeler/Manuela Schraut-Keppeler, 26. Roland and Siegrun Taron.
