World Championship Youth Latin and Grand Slam

68 couples danced at the World Championship Youth Latin in Moscow. German Champions Nikita Schneider / Jacqueline Joos (Schwarz-Weiß-Club Pforzheim) reached the semifinal and finished 11 ^th. Mikael Tatarkin / Nicole Wirt (TSZ Heusenstamm) danced into the quarterfinal and were placed 23 ^rd.

Z Anton Skuratov / Alena Uehlin (TTC München), Valentin Lusin  / Renata Busheeva (TD TSC Düsseldorf Rot-Weiß) und Anatoliy Novoselv / Tasja Schulz (Schwarz-Weiß-Club Pforzheim) travelled to the Grand Slam Standard competition in Moscow. 250 couples were dancing. Anton and Alena danced in a strong field and finished sixth in the final. Valentin and Renata reached the quarter final and finished 24 ^th. Anatoliy and Tasja reached the third round and were placed 31 ^st. According to TBW Training Director Michael Grether who was coaching the couples in Moscow, Tolik and Tasja showed a performance that would have justified a place in the next round as well.

Even bigger than the standard competition was the Grand Slam Latin competition in Moscow with 282 couples dancing. Pacel Pasechnik / Marta Arndt (TSC Astoria Karlsruhe) danced into the final and finished fifth. Jan Dvoracek / Malika Dzumaev (Grün-Gold-Club Bremen) reached the fourth round and finished 27-29 ^th.
