Many finalists in Antwerp
TEAM 13 scores high
In Belgian Antwerp, international competitions took place over three days and there were many finalists from the German federation:
Fabian Taeschner/Darja Titowa were forth in the Rising Stars Latin competition. In the Junior II Latin competition, the whole winners' podium was German: The siblings Nikita and Elisabeth Yatsun were the happy winners, Steven Korn/Katrin Domme were first runners-up and Shon Burshteyn/Christina Gidikas were second runners-up.
The result of the Rising Stars Standard competition looked quite similar: Four couples reached the final of which three made the first three ranks. This proved the great and successful work with young talents of the German federation. Lead by national coach Martina Weßel-Therhorn, the TEAM 13 Standard had travelled to Antwerp together after days of practice together. Erik Kem/Lisa Rykovski won the competition, Grigorij Gelfond/Isabel Tinnis were first runners-up, Dominik Stöckl/Katharina Belz were second runners-up. Moritz Krauter/Madeline Weingärtner also reached the final on place six.
The German Senior couples as well provided successful results as usual: Gert Faustmann/Alexandra Kley were runners-up in the Senior II Standard competition in front of Bernhard and Sonja Fuss who were second runners-up. The sixth place was taken by Bernd and Sandra Ketturkat. Another four couples reached the semi-final: Ralf and Stella Lämmermeier (8.), Patrick and Sabrina van der Meer (9.), Jürgen Beck/Claudia Kleineheismann (11.) as well as Stefan und Inge Kolip (12.).
Alexander Hick/Petra-Alexandra Lessmann reached place three in the Senior III Standard competition. Wolfgang Koschier/Birgit Fehrmann-Koschier were fifth and Wolfgang Walter/Ilse von Beyer sixth. In This competition, another three German couples reached the semi-final among the total of 85 couples: Marius and Barbara Torka (10.), Oliver Luthardt/Anne Hinz (11.) and Rainer and Astrid Quenzel (12.).
In the World Open Standard competition, Valentin and Renata Lusin reached the final and took place four. In the semi-final, Anatoliy Novoselov/Tasja Schulz missed the final very curtly on rank seven, Daniel Radu/Anne Weber were twelfth.
