After five years of abstinence Poland was hosting a European Championship Formation Standard for the first time again. 12 teams of seven different nations were taking part. The Braunschweiger TSC was the only German team that had been nominated by the DTV. With its new formed up A-team the Braunschweiger TSC was dancing to the bronze medal. Nearly 100 guests were following the first round in the Centrum Sportowo-Biznesowe, semi-final and final were presented in an evening event to about 700 spectators. The final consisted of six formations. The host LOTOS-Jantar could not fulfill its own expectation. The team had to admit defeat to the Russian team Vera with only 0.7 points of difference in the judging. Dance Impression from the Netherlands presented its new choreography "Imagine" dancing to music of John Lennon and including same-sex parts. They finished 4th behind the German representatives. The second Russian team remained true to their theme of the World Championship " Rock-Operas by Mozart" and ranked 5th in front of Universk Minsk.
