Almost unpronouncable for German participants was the city for world ranking competitions in Hungary: Szigetszentmiklós, a small town close to Budapest. Luckily, dance was the language that was well spoken by the participants of the DTV: at the WDSF International Open Latin competition Kirill Ganopolsky / Kim Pätzug finished third, at the International Open Standard competition Daniel Radu / Anne Weber finished 12 th.

Jörg and Alexandra Heberer were placed third in the competition Senior II Latin. Two German couples on the podium could also be found in the Senior II Standard competition: Peter and Miriam Pfeiffer were runners-up, Detlef Krebs / Andrea Peters finished third. Also in the Senior III Standard competition, two German couples danced into the final: Marius and Barbara Torka were runners-up, Gerhard Baier / Ingrid Cloos-Baier finished sixth.

Almost at the same time two German couples danced in the last round of their competitions in Bassano del Grappa, a town not very much bigger in the North of Italy: Marek Bures / Anastasiia Iermolenko Khadjeh-Nouri finished third in the WDSF World Open Latin competition and David Ovsievitch / Elisabeth Wormsbecher were placed sixth in the Youth Latin competition.
