Unlike on the first day of the "Blaues Band" in Berlin there was no rival event for the WDSF Open Seniors I on Easter Sunday. From the last WC final the couples on places one, three and four were starting, from the last German Championship final also three couples, however not the top two. The semi final proved to be quite a bottleneck for the German couples: only two came through and had to join the queue behind the guests from abroad. Clearly in front with all dances won were the current world champions Christian and Elena Bono. They were followed by the Czech comets Michal Mladek/Sarka Hesova, who have only been dancing together since December and won the Czech championship at the first go in front Zdenek Pribyl/Lenka Pribylova .

2. Michal Mladek/Sarka Hesova, Czech Republic (12)
3. Zdenek Pribyl/Lenka Pribylova, Czech Republic (15)
4. Csongor Balogh/Anita Szabo, Hungary (18)
