Michael and Mihaela Ruhl (Frankfurt) sucessfully defended their title German Champion Senior I S in Berlin last Saturday night, beating Jörg and Ute Hillenbrand (Wiesbaden), who, however, became the indisputable darlings of the public in the course of the tournament and went home with 11 of the 45 best rankings. Thorsten Strauß/Sabine Jacob (Lübeck) won the bronze medal, followed by the two Berlin couples Markus and Johanna Bensch and Jens Neumann/Anke Gillner on rank four and five (in that order). Michael and Beate Lindner (Darmstadt) completed the final results. A total of 110 couples were at the start in Berlin.
