Michael and Beate Lindner crowned their dance sports career with another milestone: They won the WDSF World Championship Senior III Standard in Madrid, Spain. 152 couples took part. Michael and Beate Lindner crowned their dance sports career with another milestone: They won the WDSF World Championship Senior III Standard in Madrid, Spain. 152 couples took part. Lindners clearly dominated the field and got 38 of 45 possible ones. In the final and semi-final Lindners were the only German couple. In the quarter-final three more couples represented the DTV: Alexander Hick/Petra-Alexandra Lessmann finished with the runner-up place to the semi-final and ranked 14th. Wolfgang Walter/Ilse von Beyer finished with a split 15th place and Gerhard Baier/Ingrid Cloos-Baier ranked 24th.
At the WDSF World Championship Senior II Latin, that took place in Madrid as well, Markus and Stephanie Grebe danced into the final and finished 4th. Michael and Claudia Sawang reached the semi-final with a 10th place as well as Achim Hobl/Kerstin Hahn with a 12th place. 96 couple took part in this World Championship.
