The last Sunday before Christmas in Riga was the last third and last day of the 34 th Baltic Grand Prix in Latvia's capital and it was the day of the World Cup Standard competition. 23 couples representing 23 nations were dancing. Tanzsport Deutschland was represented by Dumitru Doga / Sarah Ertmer. They had an excellent showing and easily reached the final round. In a festive setting of the rounds in the evening they finished 5 th.

3. Vasily Kirin / Ekaterina Prozorova, Austria

At the International Open Latin competition which was danced in between the rounds of the World Cup Standard, Zsolt Sandor Cseke / Malika Dzumaev were also recalled for the final. Their performance improved from round to round and they finished second in the end with winning two dances.

At the Open Standard Senior I competition, two couples were recalled into the final and stood next to each other during the prize presentation: Jörg Gutmann / Isabel Matthes finished third, Roland Tines / Heidrun Puskas fourth.  Also Senior II Latin saw a German couple in the final: Olaf Wittka / Tanja Bracht finished third.
