With impressive performances of all four German groups in the modern competition adults the German representatives danced under the Top Ten of the world. "J.E.T." from MTV Goslar ended the tournament on place 9. "Arabesque" (ASV Wuppertal) became 7th best Small Group of the world and only just missed the final. In the final round two Slovenian, one polish and one south-African group danced apart from the two German teams. "autres choses" (TSC Blau Gold Saarlouis) presented themselves as third group and not only enthused the German fans in the hall. "outfaced" (TV 90 Berlin) came onto the floor as 5th team and was overwhelmed by the qualification for the final anyway. The Berlin group also fascinated the hall. After the last group from Poland it was time to wait for the award ceremony. To the dismay of the spectators " autres choses" was already called for 5th place. "outfaced" reached the first place next to the podium. Even if the Slovenian anthem was played and the German fans were a little disappointed, the pride about the overall success of the German groups outweighed the disappointment.

The day started at 8 a.m. with the first round of the modern duos adults. All four German duos (Frederic Ney/Anna Ziegler, Sascha Hoffmann/Katja Geisler, Patrick Griebel/Kristina Haar and Marcelo Morales/Louisa-Sophie Brebeck) qualified for the next round, which will take place on Saturday.

The soloists of the adults had tournaments in jazz as well as in modern today. Sascha Hoffmann (TV 90 Berlin) reached 10th place in the Jazz competition. In the modern competition Sascha reached place 21 and Frederic Ney (TSC Blau Gold Saarlouis) reached place 18. Marcelo Morales (ASV Wuppertal) danced into the semi-final. He also missed that certain bit of luck in order to reach the round of the last six. He ended the tournament of 22 starters on place 8. Patrick Griebel will represent Germany in the final tomorrow (Saturday).

The female soloists in jazz also competed in their last rounds. Louisa-Sophie Brebeck (ASV Wuppertal) presented a flawless and expressive performance to the international jurors. Place 10 in a strong starting field is therefore another good success for her.

The modern formations adults began wit 18 teams in the preliminary round. "Fearless" from VfL Wolfsburg presented themselves on international floor again and reached place 15. "the Face" from "Tanzverein 90 Berlin" reached the runner-up place to the next round (13). "Arabesque" and "autres choses" were untouchable in the semi-final too and reached the WC final that will be competed on Saturday.

In the juniors there were also two decisions with German participation. Anna Grünwald (TSG Bavaria Augsburg) showed her Jazz-Solo anew in the semi-final and came tenth. In the junior formations modern we still have hopes for medals: the three best German youth formations danced in the semi-final. "Hot Chocolate" (TV Großostheim) ended the world championship on place 10. "Next Generation" (TSG Bavaria Augsburg) reached place 7 . "L'équipe" (TSC Blau Gold Saarlouis) is looking forward to the final tomorrow.
