Gert Faustmann / Alexandra Kley – German Champions

133 couples danced on June 6th 2015 the German Championship Senior II S Standard in the Sportcentrum Siemensstadt in Berlin. With temperatures well above 30 Celcius outside and inside the hall, a fan was not only the most important accessory for the dancers next to the floor. Gert Faustmann / Alexandra Kley were in the lead in the ranking list and they showed from the very first dance that they wanted to win the title at home. After four rounds and a semifinal with 14 couples, 6 couples representing five states were recalled to the final. Faustmann / Kley was the only couple recalled to the final with all 45 marks and they lived up to their leading role and danced outstandingly. The vice champion title was only decided in the Quickstep. The judges placed René and Heike Seyboth ahead of Bernd and Sandra Ketturkat. Starting with a second place in Slow Waltz, Bernhard and Sonja Fuss could not finish in the medal ranks and finished fourth like in the year before. Ralf and Stella Lämmermaier are new in the final, same as René and Heike Seyboth, and the finished fifth. Knut and Antje Wichmann were placed sixth.
