TSZ Stuttgart-Feuerbach awarded „Das grüne Band“

"Das grüne Band" (the green ribbon) is an award to honour exemplary, sustainable and consequent youth development work with a prize of €5.000 each. The award winning clubs come from 16 states and represent 30 different sports. Most of the winners are from the state Baden-Württemberg, followed by Bavaria, Thuringia and Saxony. The Tanzsportzentrum Stuttgart-Feuerbach from the DTV is one of the 50 award winners.

Social and educational aspects play an essential role for the jury of the " Grünes Band, besides the trainers, the cooperation with institutions like schools or Olympic training centres as well as active prevention work in fields like alcohol and drug abuse, doping or sexualized violence. "Clubs play an essential role in the development of our children. And by that we don't only refer to the development in the sport. A lot of clubs engage themselves beyond the sport and are a role-model for the children in such important social values like fairness and mutual respect" praises Uwe Hellmann, head of Brand Management of the Commerzbank and member of the jury, the commitment of the clubs.
