Highest honours for Bickers

National Sports Director Michael Eichert accepted the invitation by the TanzSportClub Rödermark on 26 August to honour five time world champions Heinz-Josef and Aurelia Bickers. He praised the results of this exceptional couple and pointed out how difficult it was to win a world title for five consecutive times. "Younger couples are coming in all the time and on July 5 ^th during the danceComp in Wuppertal they even had to dance against the world champion of the younger age group. Therefore there is no doubt that they are the best couple that the DTV has." As a mark of the federations' esteem he brought a very special award with him. He handed Heinz-Josef and Aurelia Bickers the German Dance Sports Badge in gold with brilliant and the certificate.
