For a lot of competitive dancers the small Dutch city Tilburg has been the centre of all happening this weekend. At the World Championship Senior IV Standard 127 couples took part. Among them there have been various German couples, too, but none of them made it to the final. The best German couple has been Hans-Georg and Barbara Strunk with a 14th place in the semi-final. Already in the quarter-final they have been the last representatives of the DTV. The nation most represented in the first places is Italy, but also Japan can be found there increasingly. World champion became the Italian couple Luciano Ceruti/Rosa Nuccia Cappello.

At the World Open Standard competition 61 couples took part, among them a lot of couples provided with a star from the world ranking list, too. The competition was strong, but Valentin and Renata Lusin danced into the final and finished with a 3rd place. At the Youth Standard competition Dominik Stöckl/Katharina Belz were placed 2nd, Florian Schell/Maria Sedin 4th and Lukas Gandor/Veronika Bauer 6th. At the Senior I Standard competition Andreas Lippok/Karin Eva Rode finished 5th. René and Heike Seyboth were placed 4th at the Senior II Standard competition. In the final of the Senior III Standard competition there have been even four German couples: The victory went to Michael and Beate Lindner, Alexander Hick/Petra-Alexandra Lessmann finished 2nd, Wolfgang Koschier/Birgit Fehrmann-Koschier were placed 4th and Wolfgang Walter/Ilse von Beyer 5th. At the Rising Stars Standard competition Erik Kem/Lisa Rykovski finished 2nd, Dominik Stöckl/Katharina Belz 5th.

At the Youth Latin competition Shon Burshteyn/Christina Gidikas were placed 2nd, Marius Malinovschi/Lisa Karst 5th and Tim Bersheminski/Maria Privalova 6th. At the "Under 21" Latin competition Sebastian Merker/Stefania Cosma finished 3rd, Marius Malinovschi/Lisa Karst 6th. The Senior II Latin competition was dominated by the German couples, who occupied the places one to four in the final: Harald and Anja Dormann won the competition, Achim Hobl/Kerstin Hahn finished 2nd, Jörg and Alexandra Heberer were placed 3rd and Rolf and Iris Pernat 4th. At the Rising Stars Latin competition Erik Pastor/Ecaterina Petrova could celebrate another victory.
