48 Youth Standard couples were at the start in a Championship which was marked by a very high performance level.

Everyone could hardly wait to see the finals, as three of the couples had already shown their ability in national and international comparisons of their age class. The fact that the finalists would be competing for qualifying in the WC Youth in 2008 was another special incentive for the finalists, who will remain in the Youth category next year.

The darlings of the public Anton Skuratov and Alona Uehlin-Baranenkava clearly won the German Champion title, and the second rank occupied by Berlin based Stsiapan Hurski and Tasja Schulz was just as obvious. Incumbent German Champions Evgeny Vinokurov and Christina Luft, although showing a fairly good tournament, did not take their optimum performance to the floor that day and eventually went home with rank 3.
