In the arena in Riga a traditional choir inaugurated the evening event of the World Championship Adult and Youth 10-dance for which both German couples had qualified. The spectators were able to watch two fascinating competitions in the well-attended hall. Because of the nesting, the tournaments went in quick succession and the away fans had to be constantly in action.

To the German fans' delight both couples reached the final of their World Championship. Jan Janzen/Victoria Litinova had 5th and 6th places in standard, but closed this discipline with a 6th place. In the first three Latin-American dances they finished 5th, in paso doble with a split 4th place. In the solo dance jive the ranked 4th again. However, they finished 6th in the World Championship in the end. "Guilty" is the new judgement system 2.1, which is only based on points. Using the judging system based on places Janzen/Litinova would have finished at least one place better. Applying the pure judging system based on points the deficit after the standard section was too big to catch it up in latin. The title went to Sergey Rozhkov/Veronika Dichka from Russia, 2nd finished Mihai-Vlad Parashiv/Diandra-Alenia Illes from Rumania.
