Sun Dance Festival – WDSF Junior II B Standard

With 50 couples the fourth and last WDSF competition of the 18th Summer Dance Festival started on Sunday afternoon. While in the semi-final still eight different nations were dancing, the final consisted of couples from seven nations. The victory went to Kamil Bochenek/Ilona Sak from Poland. Four German couples reached the semi-final, Daniel Müller/Anna Gommer (Bielefelder TC Metropol) were the only German couple in the final.

Sun Dance Festival – WDSF Youth Latin

The second day already started at 9 o´clock. On floor C, the floor for the WDSF competitions, the couples in the age class Youth of the Latin section started their competition. 59 couples were dancing for reaching the round of the last six. In the final five nations were dancing. The victory went to Israel. Daniel Medvedovsky/Michelle Nazarenus only gave the jive to the only German couple in the final, Daniel Schmuck/Veronika Obholz.

Great cast and great bad luck

Ranking list competition in Aachen

26 couples, among them several of the German top, delighted the audience at the ranking list competition in Aachen. However, two of them that had been expected to be on the top of this competition had bad luck. Timur Imametdinov/Nina Bezzubova and Maxim Stepanov/Kseny Rybina had to finish the competition too early because of illness and injury respectively. Artur Balandin/Anna Salita presented themselves in excellent condition and therefore were given full top grades.

Sun Dance Festival – WDSF Junior II B Latin

In the Junior II B Latin competition 73 of the 84 announced couples were starting. In the final the “podium” of the German Championship was dancing next to two Russian and one Lithuanian couple. In the end the result was as tight as possible in favour of the Lithuanian couple Daniel Sitovs/Skaiste Svajone Jazilionyte.

Sun Dance Festival – WDSF Youth Open Standard

On Saturday morning the WDSF Youth Open Standard competition of the 18th Summer Dance Festival started with 46 couples. While in the round of the last 48 there still six German couples were dancing, in the semi-final only Arseni Pavlov/Nicole Balski (btc Grün-Gold der TiB 1848) from Berlin were left. They finished this competition with the 8th place.

World Championship Junior II Standard in Timosoara

70 couples were taking part in the World Championship Junior II Standard in Romania. Efrem Kuzmiczenko/Samira Hafez and Egor Ionel/Rita Schumichin were representing Germany as number one and two of the remaining podium positions of the last German National Championship.
