Victory for Ferruggia/Köhler in Tokio

The long journey to the 19th Tokio Open Championships was worth it for Benedetto Ferruggia/Claudia Köhler. They won the PD Standard competition absolutely sovereignly and were happy about thousands of fans in the Tokyo Center that cheered them excitedly.

PD German Cup

The ball with the integrated German Cup competitions in latin and standard for the professionals was a great success. Apart from various little shows – among them a classic rumba performed by Ralph and Olga Müller – the audience was curious about the professional dancers.

Sascha Wakup / Dr. Ann-Katrin Bechtold in the final of the World Championship

At the World Championship Master Class I, which also took place in Luxemburg, the German Champions of the DTV PD Master Class I Sascha Wakup / Dr. Ann-Katrin Bechtold reached the final of the World Championship for the first time. They finished sixth. 13 couples representing 8 countries entered the competition.

Bicker runners-up at the World Championship

Luxembourg was the host country of the World Championship Master Class II of the WDSF Professional Division. In Bertrange 18 couples danced this Open Championship, 13 out of them representing Italy. Heinz-Josef and Aurelia danced in the final and finished second, bringing home the silver medal.

Michael Wenger/Jekaterina Perederejeva retiring

Michael Wenger and Jekaterina Perederejeva have ended their career as active competition dancers. In their writing to the management committee they are thanking all the people that have been accompanying them along their way: “It has been a wonderful, exciting and successful time for us in the Professional Division. Of course we would like to take the chance to thank everybody that has been accompanying us on that beautiful path.”

Pasechnik/Arndt winning in Bangkok

Pavel Pasechnik/Marta Arndt have been taking part in the WDSF PD Latin competition in Bangkok and came off as the brilliant winner of this competition. 17 couples were taking part. Spectators attested them a professional performance in a strong competition field.
