Alexander Tyshchenko/Erika Matej are the names of the winner of the National Cup Amateur A Latin that took place in the Boston-Club Düsseldorf with 42 couples starting. The couple convinced the majority of the jury right from the beginning, won four of the five dances in the final and so put themselves at the top of a field in which couples from Kiel to Munich were dancing.
At the World Championship in Kitakiyushu, Japan, 62 couples took part. Being the first time Japan was hosting a World Championship the organizer team did a good job. But in the strong competitive field our two representatives could not establish themselves. Arseni Pavlov/Nicole Balski reached the 47th place, Krisztian Kuljak/Franziska Holweg the 49th place.

Also from the third day of the danceComp various couples representing Germany were recalled into the final. The final of the World Open Latin competition with the win by Timur Imametdinov / Nina Bezzubova was the perfect conclusion of the three days in Wuppertal, where people were not only heated by the temperatures but also by the UEFA European Championship.
Simone Segatori / Annette Sudol as well as Michael and Beate Lindner won their competitions. Various other couples representing Germany danced in the finals of the second day of the danceComp as well.

The Presidium has selected Sven Traut for the vacant post of the National Youth Trainer Standard. Traut was competing in Ten Dances and has been active as a trainer with a focus in Standard and is already part of the DTV regional federations trainer team.

With 50 couples the fourth and last WDSF competition of the 18th Summer Dance Festival started on Sunday afternoon. While in the semi-final still eight different nations were dancing, the final consisted of couples from seven nations. The victory went to Kamil Bochenek/Ilona Sak from Poland. Four German couples reached the semi-final, Daniel Müller/Anna Gommer (Bielefelder TC Metropol) were the only German couple in the final.
The second day already started at 9 o´clock. On floor C, the floor for the WDSF competitions, the couples in the age class Youth of the Latin section started their competition. 59 couples were dancing for reaching the round of the last six. In the final five nations were dancing. The victory went to Israel. Daniel Medvedovsky/Michelle Nazarenus only gave the jive to the only German couple in the final, Daniel Schmuck/Veronika Obholz.
